When the barrier function of the skin is impaired and its repair capacity is exceeded, irritation occurs in the skin. Symptoms that impair the quality of life in patients with skin irritation include itching, tingling, swelling, burning, dry skin with rash, peeling and pain. A rash may occur as an initial symptom.

In treatment, the factor causing irritation should be eliminated. It is recommended to use moisturizing and soothing creams after irritated skin applications. Since the skin is more susceptible to complications after application in every season, the use of sunscreen creams is recommended.

The harmful effects of the sun play an important role in the complaints that occur following laser, acne treatment and other irritating applications. Sensitized skin after application is more vulnerable to harmful factors. Damage to the barrier of the skin by laser, peeling, and renewal processes creates an environment for the problems caused by the harmful lights of the sun. As a result, the most feared situation is the blemishes that may occur due to sunlight after these inflamed applications. Therefore, these sensitive skins must be protected from the sun at the highest level.
